Mat Shark is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Forrestdale, Western Australia, training kids, adults, beginners and competitors under the same roof.
We built Mat Shark to be the kind of academy we'd want our own families to walk into: clean, calm, well-run and staffed by coaches who actually explain what they're teaching.
Beginners get a proper fundamentals pathway rather than being thrown into the deep end. Kids get structure, encouragement and age-matched partners. Competitors get hard, intelligent training and coaching that travels with them to tournaments.
There's no initiation, no bravado and no pressure to spar before you're ready. The standard is high — the attitude is friendly.
Coaching
Black belt led, with assistant coaches on the mats every class.
Facility
Full matted training floor, clean amenities and parent seating.
